Shah Rukh Khan on why it's better not to have sense of humour at present time: You say something, somebody gets disturbed
Mumbai/IBNS: Apart from his iconic romance, chivalry, charm and very recently onscreen action, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is a recurrent headliner and a trendy celebrity on social media for his wits, humour and one-liners.
But it seems Shah Rukh is aiming to withdraw himself from his innate skill of leaving people in splits in a moment.
Attending the Locarno Film Festival, Shah Rukh participated at the Locarno Meets podcast where he spoke about how it's better for him to not be witty anymore.
The superstar, who will turn 59 next month, said, "I'll be honest, I think I have an innate sense of humor, and I can make people laugh, but it's very inappropriate times also. So I try to control myself, I'm told by my team all the time, people don't understand your humour."
"But now people have become very sensitive. You say something, and everybody, somebody gets disturbed. It's better to not have a sense of humor."
Though he can be humorous at his will in real life, Shah Rukh finds comedy a tough genre to deal with in films.

"As an actor, I think comedy is very difficult. I think it's a very serious business. It's very difficult. It's the one that there's most actors failed. It's where I have failed," the actor said. (sic)
Shah Rukh Khan, who has ruled the Indian film industry for decades, added one more feather to his illustrious crown when he received a career achievement award at the prestigious Locarno Film Festival in August this year.
After the dismal run of his 2018 film Zero in the box office, SRK went into hiatus for a few years but stormed back to silver screens with Pathaan in 2023.
In the same year, Shah Rukh went on to deliver two other hits, Jawan and Dunki.
The superstar will next feature in Sujoy Ghosh's King, where Shah Rukh's daughter Suhana Khan will make her silver screen debut.
