TV actor Nitesh Pandey dies due to cardiac arrest at 51

Mumbai: Popular television actor Nitesh Pandey, who has worked in several serials in his career, died in Nashik city of Maharashtra, media reports said on Wednesday.

He was 51.

He suffered a cardiac arrest in Igatpuri, reports The Indian Express.

Producer JD Majethia, who has worked extensively with Nitesh confirmed to indianexpress.com that Nitesh Panday was travelling for work when he passed away.

He told Indianexpress.com, “Nitesh was in Igatpuri and suffered a cardiac arrest. He passed away around 2 am.”

Pandey began doing theatre in 1990. In 1995, he got his first acting opportunity in a show called Tejas in which he played a detective.

After a few episodes, BITV ran into trouble because the satellite was lost.[3][4] Nitesh Pandey has worked in serials like Manzilein Apani Apani, Astitva...Ek Prem Kahani, Saaya, Justajoo and Durgesh Nandini and in films including Om Shanti Om, Khosla Ka Ghosla.

He also ran an independent production house - 'Dream Castle Productions' which produces Radio shows.

Pandey did theatre shows like Aastha and Misal Pav with Sudha Chandran. His performance was noticed in Khosla Ka Ghosla.

Reactions:

Actor R Madhavan tweeted: "Heart broken, in shock and dismayed.. RIP my dear brother Nitesh Pandey .. your cheery disposition and ready laughter is required more in the heavens I guess . The deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the family."

Filmmaker Hansal Mehta said: "Three young persons. Three actors. Passed away in a span of 3-4 days. Rest In Peace dear colleagues. This is such an unkind time. Prayers with their grieving families."
