Who is Jaafar? Michael Jackson's nephew portrays him onscreen in upcoming biopic
Makers of the Michael Jackson biopic have launched the teaser trailer of the movie 'Michael', giving a glimpse into the glam world of the pop icon who once ruled the charts.
With a duration of one minute and 13 seconds, the teaser trailer features Jackson's real-life nephew, Jaafar Jackson, portraying his uncle onscreen.
In the trailer, Jaafar could be seen playing some of the iconic moments in the life of the pop star that include performing the signature moonwalk step and the hit “Thriller” music video that had once set the world on fire.
Universal Pictures India shared the trailer on Instagram and wrote: "MICHAEL - in theaters soon."
The movie, after several delays, is now scheduled to hit the silverscreen on April 2026.
The movie will feature actors Miles Teller, Nia Long and Laura Harrier.
The movie is directed by Antoine Fuqua, who is best known for making films like Training Day, Tears of the Sun, among others. The script of the movie is written by John Logan.
Who is Jaafar?
Jaafar is the son of Jermaine Jackson and Alejandra Genevieve.
He will make his big screen debut with the movie.
