Archer returns to English squad for third Test against India
British fast bowler Jofra Archer has been named in the English squad for the third Test against India, strengthening the bowling attack for the next challenge.
Archer will be representing England in a Test match for the first time in more than four years.
The series is currently balanced at 1-1 after India registered a 336-run win against the home side.
Jofra Archer replaces Josh Tongue for the third game of the five-Test series, starting on Thursday, July 10.
The 30-year-old right-arm quick returns to the England Test team for the first time since February 2021 and will make his 14th cap.
In his 13 Tests, Archer picked up 42 wickets.
Since his last appearance in the red ball format, England has played 53 matches.
