Bihar batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi became the youngest player to be sold in the history of Indian Premier League (IPL) auction after the 13-year-old was bought by Rajasthan Royals for 1.10 crore on Monday.
Rajasthan were locked in a bidding battle with Delhi Capitals on the second and final day of the auction, which was being held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Rajasthan were the first team to start bidding for Vaibhav followed by Delhi.

Vaibhav will get an opportunity to play under the guidance of cricket legend Rahul Dravid, who has been appointed as the Rajasthan Royals head coach.
Born in Bihar's Samastipur, Viabhav grabbed the eyeballs after becoming the youngest batter to slam an international century playing in a Youth Test for India Under-19.
The southpaw had scored 104 off 62 balls.

The teenager made his first-class cricket debut for Bihar in the Ranji Trophy Elite Group B match earlier this year.
At 12, he also became the youngest Indian player to make debut in first-class cricket.
