Former Australian captain Michael Clarke undergoes skin cancer surgery
Australian cricket legend Michael Clarke, under whose leadership the national team won the 2015 World Cup, on Tuesday said he recently underwent surgery to remove skin cancer from his nose.
He urged his fans to remain vigilant about their health.
"Skin cancer is real! Especially in . Another one cut out of my nose today," Clarke wrote on Instagram
Along with his post, he also shared an image of himself adter undergoing the surgery.
He further said: "A friendly reminder to get your skin checked. Prevention is better than cure but in my case, regular check ups and early detection is key. So grateful that @drbishsoliman_ got it early."
In his glorious career, Clarke, considered one of the best right-handers to play the game, represented the national side in 115 Tests, 245 ODIs, and 34 T20Is between 2004 and 2015.
He led the national team in 74 Tests (47 wins, 16 losses) and 139 ODIs.
