By IBNS
Oct 25, 2024..

Pune/IBNS: In quite a similar situation from that of the first Test, India are staring at a batting collapse in the inaugural innings of the second Test against New Zealand in Pune on Friday.

The star-studded batting line up collapsed as India were reduced to 107/7 at lunch on day 2 of the match.

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill, who scored 30 each, were the only batters to cross the 20-mark so far.

Washington Sundar, who picked seven wickets with the ball, was unbeaten at 2 when the players went back to the change room for lunch.

Mitchell Santner clinched four wickets for 36.

India bowled out New Zealand for 259 on Thursday.
