Mumbai/IBNS: Ahead of the 2025 auction, all 10 Indian Premier League franchises have announced their list of players they retained as well as the ones released..
Royal Challengers Bengaluru has retained Virat Kohli for Rs. 21 crore.
However, South African cricketer Heinrich Klaasen has broken the record of getting the highest retention amount in IPL history.
Klaasen is retained by the Sunrisers Hyderabad for a massive amount of Rs. 23 crore, making him the costliest player ever retained in the tournament.
Three major captains Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer will be entering the IPL auction.
Among the other highlights this year, Mumbai Indians have released Ishan Kishan while Chennai Super Kings retained MS Dhoni as an uncapped player for Rs 4 crore.
