National Bridge Championship: Kamna Sharma & Richa Sriram top qualifiers, advance to finals with eleven other pairs
Kolkata/IBNS: The 67th Ashok Ruia Memorial Winter National Bridge Championship got off to a strong start on Monday at the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre, New Town, with the duo of Kamna Sharma (Mumbai) and Richa Sriram (Delhi) leading the field of twelve qualifiers for the final round of the Amla Ruia Women Pairs Event.
After 21 rounds, Kamna and Richa topped the table with 140 International Match Points (IMPs) out of 22 contesting pairs.
The other pairs who qualified for Tuesday’s final are:

The championship was inaugurated in the morning by Bridge Federation of India General Secretary Debasish Ray, in the presence of Chief Guest Ms. Amla Ruia, wife of late Ashok Ruia, WBBA President Monica Jajoo, WBBA Secretary Arnab Guha, and participating players.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Ruia praised the West Bengal Bridge Association and the Corporate Bridge Association of India for hosting the winter national meet on such a large scale and contributing significantly to the promotion of the mind sport.
