Sourav Ganguly escapes car accident unhurt on Durgapur Expressway
Kolkata/IBNS: Former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly on Thursday escaped an accident unhurt after his car was involved in a collision on Durgapur Expressway in West Bengal, media reports said.
Ganguly, a former Indian cricket board president, was on his way to Burdwan University for an event when the collision took place.
As per reports, a lorry suddenly overtook Ganguly's Range Rover forcing the car driver to apply brakes.
The sudden application of brakes led other cars of Ganguly's convoy to collide with each other with one of them hitting the Range Rover.
Ganguly was unhurt but two cars of his convoy suffered minor damages.
Unfazed by the accident, Ganguly went ahead with his scheduled programme at Burdwan University where he interacted with students and spoke on the Indian cricket.
One of the giants in the cricketing arena, Ganguly was last year appointed as the Director of JSW Sports and his responsibility includes working with Delhi Capitals franchise in the Women's Premier League (WPL).
