Sourav Ganguly felicitates champions at the final day of Regatta Championship in Kolkata
Kolkata: Former India cricket captain Sourav Ganguly felicitated the young rowing champions at the final day of the 50th All India Invitation Schools Regatta Championship at Lake Club on Saturday.
Ashok Hall and South Point High School held centre stage, winning a couple of gold medals each and emerging overall champions in the girls' and boys' sections, respectively.
Sanskar Chandra and Devansh Chakraborty of South Point High School and Ritsika Das and Sriya Laha of Ashok Hall earned fine doubles, being part of the winning teams in the double scull and fours events for junior boys and senior girls, respectively.
The final results are as follows: In the Junior Girls Double Scull, Ballygunge Siksha Sadan beat Delhi Public School.
In the Junior Boys Double Scull, South Point overcame Jagadamba High School. Ashok Hall triumphed over South Point in the Senior Girls Double Scull, while Lake Point beat Khalsa High in the Senior Boys Double Scull.
In the Junior Girls Coxed Fours, Delhi Public School beat Ballygunge Siksha Sadan. South Point secured a win against Future Hope in the Junior Boys Coxed Fours.

In the Senior Girls Coxed Fours, Ashok Hall beat Modern High. Khalsa High rounded off the day with a victory over La Martiniere in the Senior Boys Coxed Fours.
