Using modern technology and scientific methods and with tracing the mobile with the help of Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal, Airport police station of Agartala has successfully recovered 28 mobile phones that were lost from different parts of the country, including Delhi, Bihar and Rajasthan. The recovered mobile phones were handed over to their rightful owners on Saturday.
The owners of the lost mobile phones expressed relief and gratitude after receiving their devices back due to the efforts of the police. Police officials stated that the phones were traced and recovered by identifying their locations through various technical sources with the help of advanced technology and scientific investigation methods.
Speaking to the media, SDPO (NCC ) Subrata Barman provided details about the recovery operation. He said that police have been regularly using technological methods to trace and recover lost mobile phones. As part of this ongoing initiative, 28 mobile phones have been recovered from different states and locations.
The event was attended by Airport police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shyamal Debnath along with other police officials and personnel. The initiative of returning the recovered mobile phones to their genuine owners was appreciated by those present.
