ONGC remains firmly committed to Tripura’s growth, development
Over the last 60 years, ONGC has played a critical role in enabling the economic growth of Tripura and its people through the company’s extensive exploration and production (E&P) operations in the region with strong support from the state administration and the company’s local stakeholders.
ONGC through a press statement said that from a financial perspective too, the company has made significant contributions to the state exchequer and over the last 5 years, ONGC’s contributions to the state revenues have increased multifold. Its CSR programs have also provided immense relief to its local stakeholders, be it COVID-19 relief, livelihood support, education or women empowerment, among others.
In this context, ONGC would like to refer to a news item published in a local English Daily on the edition dated 08.12.2022 pertaining to alleged ‘brazen extortion’ by TTAADC in the operational areas of ONGC and other oil and gas companies within ADC jurisdiction.
ONGC added that the management of ONGC Tripura Asset hereby clearly and unequivocally states that views and opinions presented in the news item are those of the newspaper and ONGC neither attests nor subscribes to those views.
As a proud and committed partner of Tripura’s progress, ONGC remains committed to further bolstering the state’s growth and development, said the press statement of ONGC.
