Status of king Birchandra unveiled
A big statue of Maharaja Birchandra Manikya was unveiled in front of Birchandra state central library by deputy chief minister Jishnu Dev Varma during a programme on Wednesday.
During the programme, the deputy chief minister inaugurated a ramp for 'Divyangan' , Raja Rammohan Roy library corner and modern library automation and other allied services for readers.
Apart from deputy chief minister, Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath, AMC Mayor Dipak Majumder, Prof Arunodhoy Saha, Tripura Tea Development Corporation (TTDC) chairman Santosh Saha and other officials.
