Assam Rifles intercepts smuggled foreign cigarettes worth Rs. 1.95 Cr in Tripura

In a significant crackdown on smuggling activities, Assam Rifles successfully intercepted and seized a consignment of 195 cartons of smuggled foreign cigarettes in Khowai district, Tripura. The contraband, valued at approximately ₹ 1.95 crores in the international market, was confiscated during a meticulously executed joint operation.
The seized goods have been formally handed over to the Customs Department for further investigation and legal proceedings.
This operation underscores Assam Rifles’ unwavering commitment to curbing smuggling activities and ensuring enhanced vigilance in the region.
