Bihar youth arrested with dry Ganja from an inter-state bus
A man from Bihar state was arrested from an inter-state bus at Churaibari area of North Tripura with 5.5 kilograms of dry Ganja (Cannabis) on Wednesday.
Police sources said that during regular checking of bus and other passenger vehicles at Churaibari checking gate, police noticed suspected movement of a person boarded in an inter-state bus with destination of Karimganj, Assam.
Police detained that suspected man and in the course search, the recovered different small packets of dry Ganja clandestinely hidden his body inside the clothes.
Police arrested that man identified as Munna Sharma of Baishali district of Bihar state, who had earlier smuggled dry Ganja from Khajurbagan area of Agartala towards his native state.
Arrested smuggler will be produced before a local court with police remand appeal under a case of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act 1985.
