BJP announces new district presidents for all organizational districts
The Tripura unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday announced its district presidents and put an end to all speculations over appointment of district presidents.
State BJP in-charge and former MP Dr. Rajdeep Ray along with state leaders addressing a press conference at party headquarters in Agartala on Monday afternoon announced the names of newly elected district presidents of the party.
The elected district presidents are from North Tripura- Kajal Kumar Das, Unakoti- Bimal Kar, from Dhalai district Pratiram Tripura, Khowai district Binoy Debbarma, Sadar (Urban)- Ashim Bhattacharjee, Sadar (Rural)- Gouranga Bhowmik, Sepahijala (South)- Uttam Das, Sepahijala (North)- Biplab Chakraborty, Gomati- Smt. Sabita Nag and South Tripura- Dipayan Chowdhury.
Earlier, a total of 74 nominations were submitted for the election of district presidents and after scrutiny, altogether 37 nominations were accepted.
