With the Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) election approaching, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday held an organizational meeting at Dasharath Deb Smriti Bhavan in Agartala to chalk out its strategy and strengthen its election preparedness.
The meeting commenced with the ceremonial lighting of a lamp and was attended by Sadar Urban District BJP President Ashim Bhattacharjee, West Tripura district in-charge and BJP state General Secretary Bipin Debbarma, along with other senior party leaders.
Addressing the media after the meeting, Bipin Debbarma said the Agartala Municipal Corporation election is expected to be held soon after the conclusion of the Durga Puja festivities. He said the meeting focused on the party's organizational preparations for the civic polls.
Debbarma stated that detailed discussions were held on the role of party workers during the election, strategies to further strengthen the organization, and the roadmap for effectively contesting the upcoming municipal election. He expressed confidence that the party would enter the electoral battle with a well-coordinated organizational structure.
