The elections for three-tier Panchayats likely to be held in the first week of August and the party Monday decided to fight it with all vigour but the question of alliance with Tipra- Motha still remains unclear. The process of organizational activities will continue Tuesday also when Rabindra Raju will hold a meeting with all the office bearers of the state and the district presidents.
It is learned that the Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha addressing the meeting urged the party MLAs to start public contact activities in their respective areas and spread the message of the party to all corners. The MLAs also apprised the leaders about the preparations going on in the fields and the difficulties they are confronting.
Though the party has started preparation, confusion is going on at the ground level over possible alliance with Tipra-Motha especially in the mixed populated areas as according to report the Royalist Party is preparing to claim seats as they are a partner in the coalition government now. According to reports, the Motha through their non-tribal wing may claim seats in different places.
