Body of an unidentified man recovered from a drain at Ashram Chowmuhani

An unknown body of a middle aged man was recovered from a drain near the tri-junction traffic signal point of Ashram Chowmuhani area under East Agartala police station on Sunday morning, which created panic among local people.
Police sources said that some local people on Sunday morning noticed that the body of a middle aged man was lying at the drain near the busiest National Highway-8 and they informed the matter to police.
Police rushed to the spot and recovered the body of the unidentified man aged about 50 years and sent the body to GB Hospital morgue.
Police said that the identity of the deceased man is yet to be established and they suspected that man might have fallen in the drain under the influence of alcohol or drugs as there were no injury marks in his body.
