BSF foils attempts of smuggling and infiltration
In the intervening night of 14th & 15th January 2025, adopting Non Lethal strategy BSF troops successfully foiled multiple attempts of smuggling and infiltration in Tripura.
6 rounds of non-lethal ammunition were fired from the Border Outposts (BOPs) falling under Sonamura police station and Boxanagar police station of Sepahijala district. Huge consignment of Sugar, narcotics and other contraband items were seized.
In a joint operation with TSR and Khowai Police, BSF troops laid Mobile Check Post near Jumiya colony in the area of BOP Bogabil under Khowai district and rescued 6 cattle loaded in a vehicle.
BSF is maintaining a high level of alertness on the international border to prevent infiltration and trans border crime.
