BSF seized large quantities of narcotics and contraband items
Based on specific intelligence input BSF troops of Border Outpost (BOP) Bamutia under West Tripura district recovered 3,000 Yaba tablets worth Rs 15 lakh.
In another operation BSF troops of Border Outpost (BOP) Amlighat under South Tripura district recovered 8 cartoons containing 15,400 packets of Oris and Mond Cigarette worth Rs 32 lakh.
In addition in different operations 103 kg Ganja, 884 bottles of Phensedyl and Bangladeshi Taka 6, 48,000 were also seized by BSF.
BSF has intensified operation and domination on border to thwart attempts of trans border smuggling.
