Bus dashes bike, scotty, two killed, one injured at Bishalgarh
In a tragic road accident two youths including a bike rider and his pillion rider killed and another suffered critical injuries after a speeding bus, traveling from Udaipur to Agartala, lost control and collided with a bike and a scooty, causing the fatal incident on Thursday in front of the Bishalgarh Jangaliya Electric Office under Sepahijala district.
The bike rider, Rakesh Debnath, and the pillion rider, Pranab Das, succumbed to their injuries and were declared dead at Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital. The scooty rider, Prasenjit Bhowmik, was injured and admitted to Bishalgarh Subdivisional Hospital. The bus driver, who was arrested at the scene, reportedly lost control of the vehicle, which he hit the bike and scooty, crushing the bike under its wheels.
After the accident, local people rushed to the spot and managed to detain the accused bus driver and handed him over to police. The bodies of the deceased are currently at the mortuary in Bishalgarh Sub-divisional Hospital, and will be handed over to their families after the autopsy.
A large number of police forces were deployed at the hospital to maintain law and order situation and prevent any unrest. This tragic incident has shaken the community, and authorities are investigating the matter to ensure justice for the victims and their families.
