CM assures comprehensive support for the victims of tragic Ulta Ratha Yatra
Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha paid a visit to GB Pant Hospital on Thursday to inquire about the health condition of those severely injured during the Ulta Rath Yatra in Kumarghat of Unakoti on Wednesday.
After carefully inspecting the hospital, the CM expressed, "I had discussions with the doctors and spoke to the patients. The medical staff is tirelessly working towards the recovery of the patients, and I remain hopeful that they will soon regain their health."
Dr Saha further emphasized that he had given clear instructions to ensure that there would be no issues regarding financial assistance.
"I have personally instructed the Chief Secretary, Health Secretary, and GB Pant Medical Superintendent that the government will bear all expenses, including food and medicines. We are providing comprehensive support to those affected. While some individuals may still be facing challenges, the majority are showing signs of steady recovery," he affirmed.
With the Chief Minister's visit, the assurance of financial assistance, and the dedicated efforts of the medical professionals, the government is committed to assisting and facilitating the healing process for the victims of the Ulta Rath Yatra incident.
Soon after the incident the CM has also announced relief measures of Rs. 4 lakh to the next of kin of the deceased. Individuals with burn injuries exceeding 60 percent will receive Rs. 2.50 lakh, while those with burn injuries ranging from 40 to 60 percent will be given Rs. 74,000
