CM awarded eight police personnel, foresters, and NCC cadets on I-Day
A total of eight police personnel from Tripura have been conferred with different categories of President’s medals on the occasion of the 78th Independence Day celebration on Thursday.
Among the awardees figures from Tripura have been awarded the Police Medal (PM) for meritorious service. These eight police Home Guards personnel SP of North Tripura district, Bhanupada Chakraborty, Assistant Commandant of 13th battalion of TSR, Amal Debbarma, Dy.SP(Security) Kamal Shukladas, Sudedar Hemant Bisht of 3rd battalion TSR, Subedar Manindra Burdhan of 3rd battalion TSR, retired Sub-Inspector (SI) Ashish Kumar Das.
Apart from these, Home Guards and Civil Defence medal for meritorious service has been awarded to Home Guard Atayur Rehman and Women Home Guard Swapna Datta Marak. Names of all these police personnel were announced as winners of the Police Medal (PM) for meritorious service on the Republic Day, 2023.
During the celebration of the 78th Independence Day programme at Assam Rifles ground on Thursday morning, Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha awarded different police personnel with President’s police medal for distinguished service, Police medal for meritorious service and Home Ministry’s medal for Excellence in police training, who were selected on Republic Day, 2023 includes Union Home Minister medal for excellent in investigation for the year-2022 awarded to women SI, Emili Nandi of 14th battalion of TSR, Union Home Minister medal for excellent in police training for the year-2021-22 were awarded to Sabin Debbarma, Khoka Miah, Swapan Debbarma and Raju Sarkar.
During the celebration, Chief Minister all awarded some NCC cadets and Forester of the year awarded to Priyalal Sen, ‘Banaratna’ award to Abdul Sattar and Sadhan Debbarma was awarded for best plantation.
