CM chairs meeting with AAI delegation on revival of Kailashahar Airport
Chief Minister Prof. Dr Manik Saha on Tuesday chaired a meeting with the officials of the Airport Authority of India on the operationalization of the defunct airport at Kailashahar in Unakoti District.
Dr Saha, during his recent visit to New Delhi, met Union DoNER Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and requested him for the speedy revival of the Kailashahar Airport.
He had also written a letter MDoNER Office and Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Rammohan on the matter.
Following this, a delegation of the Airport Authority of India visited the Kailashahar Airport for a survey and today met the Chief Minister in a meeting, in which the officials elaborately informed him of the report about the airport.
In the meeting, M. Raja Kishore, Regional Executive Director, North Eastern Region, and K. C. Meena, Airport Director, MBB Airport, Agartala, from the Airport Authority of India, were present.
