CM lauds Hepatitis Foundation's steps in making Tripura Hepatitis B free

Hepatitis Foundation of Tripura, the leading organization in the state, is always striving to make Tripura free of Hepatitis B.

"The government has taken a special initiative to build a medical hub in the state. The present government is working very sincerely for the overall development of medical services," said Dr Saha.

This statement was made by Chief Minister Prof. Dr Manik Saha while inaugurating the 21st Annual State Conference of the Hepatitis Foundation of Tripura, organized at the Dasaratha Dev Memorial Auditorium in Agartala on Saturday.

Speaking at the conference, Dr Saha emphasized the state's commitment to improving health services.

"Improved health infrastructure is being developed to enhance services. Medical services in the state have significantly improved. Agartala Government Medical College and GBP Hospital have successfully conducted kidney transplants. A special initiative has also been undertaken to conduct liver transplants in the state in the coming days," he said.

He further stated that a super-specialty hospital has also been planned to provide modern medical services to the people of the state.

Dr Saha mentioned that the Ministry of DoNER has allocated funds to establish a 100-bed maternal and child department on the GB hospital premises.

"The tender process has been completed. Along with this, Rs. 202 crore has been allocated for Agartala Government Dental College, and necessary financial allocations have been made for a de-addiction centre in Bishramganja. Overall, the present government is working sincerely for the comprehensive development of the state's medical infrastructure," said Dr. Saha.

The Chief Minister also highlighted that the government is actively working for the welfare of the people.

In addition, the Chief Minister acknowledged that since 2002, the Hepatitis Foundation of Tripura has played a pioneering role in health and social programs in the state.
