CM takes holy dip at Maha Kumbh, prays for state’s prosperity
Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha and his wife on Thursday took a holy dip in the sacred waters of the Maha Kumbh at Prayagraj.
Immersing himself in the spiritual ambiance, the Chief Minister prayed for the peace and prosperity of the people of Tripura.
Sharing his experience, the CM wrote on Facebook, "Today, I had the good fortune of taking a dip in the Maha Kumbh. The holy water, divine energy, and spiritual atmosphere made it an unforgettable experience. I prayed to Ganga Maiya for the well-being and progress of the people of Tripura."
Later, Dr Saha told reporters that it had been his long-time wish to visit the Maha Kumbh.
"I had been waiting for this moment for a long time, as my visit was postponed three times due to the crowd. Around 50 crore pilgrims have come here from all over the country, and pilgrims from foreign countries have also arrived. After the holy dip, I felt a deep sense of peace. I especially prayed for the people of Tripura and for making our state ‘Ek Tripura, Srestha Tripura.’ Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also envisioned ‘Ek Bharat, Srestha Bharat.’ The way he is working for the progress of the country, we are also following the same path. Here at the Maha Kumbh, people from all sections of society have gathered. I have witnessed a true example of Unity in Diversity at the Maha Kumbh," said Dr Saha.
Dr Saha also expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, for the well-organized arrangements at the Maha Kumbh.
"This is not an easy task. The people’s faith in the BJP has increased further, which was reflected in the recently held election in Delhi. Congress secured zero seats, CPIM is competing with NOTA, and AAP has been left behind. Everyone must learn how to run a government with transparency from PM Modi," he added.
