“The double-engine government, particularly the Central government, has failed to provide even a single penny to the state government for helping the flood victims till today . This proves how serious the Central government is about Tripura. People are dying of hunger, they have suffered heavy losses due to the flood,” said Sudip.

He also alleged that Congress leaders faced attacks while supporting the people in distress at Mohanpur area of West Tripura district.
Roy Barman said that nine persons were badly injured and are currently undergoing treatment. He also alleged that goons owing their allegiance with the ruling party launched attacks on them inside the SDM office while they were to speak on behalf of the people affected by the flood.
