Five wanted human traffickers arrested from bordering villages of Sepahijala district

In another successful operation, the Government Railway Police (GRP) of Agartala Railway station along with other security forces managed to arrest five most wanted human traffickers, involved in many infiltration cases of Bangladeshi and Rohingyas from bordering Jatrapur areas under Sepahijala district on Saturday early morning.
Giving details, officer-in-charge (OC) of GRP station of Agartala Railway station, Tapash Das said that based on secret information, a joint contingent of GRP, BSF personnel from 81st battalion and police personnel from Sonamura and Jatrapur police stations raided in few villages including Kathaliya Mura, Urmai, Mazidabari, Birampur under Sepahijala district near Indo-Bangla border in the wee hours of Saturday.
Based on the information, the five most wanted human traffickers, wanted in two human trafficking cases identified as Jalil Mia (41), Mohammad Hasan (31), Manir Hussain (37), Jasimuddin (36) and Alamgir Hussain (37) , all were residents of few bordering villages under Sepahijala district were arrested.
He said that arrested human traffickers (Touts) were involved in many infiltration cases and they are responsible for infiltration of many Bangladeshi and Rohingyas into Indian territory.
All arrested touts were produced before a local court on Saturday in Agartala with police remand appeals for interrogation and GRP are hoping that during interrogation many inputs over the infiltration racket would be unearthed.
Das also said that a special investigation team has been formed to grill all these human traffickers to get their details of the international racket of human trafficking.
