Governor attends closing ceremony of national Zendokai karate championship

Tripura Governor, Indrasena Reddy Nallu graced the closing ceremony of 7th National Zendokai Karate championship on Sunday (July 7th).
Ms Dipa Karmakar, former Olympic Gymnast was also present on the occasion. The two day event organized by Assam Rifles in collaboration with Tripura Zendokai Karate Association culminated with the prize distribution ceremony at Assam Rifles Public School in Agartala.
A total of 161 participants including 108 boys and 53 girls from 10 states participated across various age groups demonstrating outstanding skill, determination and sportsmanship.
Governor Reddy appreciated the efforts of Assam Rifles in organizing the event. He encouraged the players to continue the relentless pursuit of excellence in their sport to support and nurture the spirit of Zendokai Karate in society. Manipur emerged victorious in the Championship with 55 Gold Medals. Meghalaya secured second position and Tripura has been ranked third in the championship.
