Tripura Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu on Tuesday unveiled a book on the state's rich cultural heritage, history and tourism, compiled by the Assam Rifles, at a function held at the Alpha Auditorium of 21 Sector Assam Rifles in Agartala.
The book, titled "Tripura: The Land of Timeless Tales", highlights various aspects of the state, including its tourist destinations, cultural heritage and historical legacy. It has been written and compiled by the Assam Rifles with the objective of promoting Tripura's unique identity among readers across the country.
Addressing the gathering, Governor Nallu lauded the Assam Rifles for bringing out the publication and appreciated its efforts to showcase Tripura's rich heritage and cultural diversity. He stressed the importance of preserving the state's cultural legacy while promoting its tourism potential for future generations.
The Governor expressed confidence that such publications would generate greater interest in Tripura among readers and contribute to enhancing the state's visibility as a cultural and tourist destination.
Brigadier Nishant Chandel delivered the welcome address during the programme. Governor Nallu also felicitated Major Purva Singh, Havildar Nithin Das and members of the editorial team in recognition of their contribution to the publication. Secretary to the Governor U.K. Chakma was also present at the event.
