Govt executes works worth Rs 578 Crore in 5 Months: CM

Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on Thursday informed that from January to May of this year, the present state government has worked on infrastructure development worth about Rs 578 crore.
“This government has given development as one of its top priorities. However, some people are still trying to tarnish the government. But there is a limit to everything. If anyone goes beyond the limit, it will not be tolerated under any circumstances,” he said.
Dr Saha said this while virtually inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of several development projects at the Gitanjali Auditorium in Kumarghat, Unakoti district.
On Thursday , the Chief Minister inaugurated 10 projects virtually from this place and laid the foundation stone of 5 projects. At the event, Dr Saha said that after the present government came to power, the amount of DA for the employees has been increased.
“No one had to tell anyone about this. We are trying to give DA as much as we can. So much good work has been done in our two districts of Gomati and Dhalai, due to which both districts have been awarded because there is no alternative to work. Kumarghat, Dharmanagar, and Udaipur railway stations in the state are being modernized with central funding. Although the MLA told me that this work is being delayed, I will talk to the Union Minister about this. We do not want to do it the way the previous governments of the state have worked. We want to do more work for the overall welfare of the people. Earlier, we saw only corruption and corruption. After Narendra Modi took charge as the Prime Minister in 2014, the country is gradually moving forward. He is strengthening the country,” said Dr Saha.
He said PM Modi has given a befitting reply to the terrorists through Operation Sindoor.
The Chief Minister said that if there is law and order in the state and stability, there will be development.
“Development is happening here constantly. The state is developing in all aspects including the health sector, agriculture sector, sports sector. This is possible because the people have support for this government," he said. Dr Saha said that the days of politics through cunning are gone.
“We want to go along with everyone. But if anyone doesn't want it, there is nothing to be done. Politics by force will not be accepted under any circumstances. Simplicity doesn't mean that we will accept it if anyone says anything. Therefore, whatever needs to be done will be done strictly. We want a fair environment to prevail here. And people to live in a fair environment. Development is underway in the state now,” he said.
Giving more details on development works, he said that on January 20, the foundation stone of a drug treatment center was laid in Sepahijala district with an allocation of Rs 122 crore. On January 17, the new building of the Belonia Sub-division Hospital, Niharnagar Primary Health Center was built. On February 12, the foundation stone of six development projects was laid in Jirania in the West district.
Dr Saha said that further development is underway in the state through AI technology.
Industries and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma, MLA Bhagaban Das, District Magistrate (DM), Tamal Majumdar, and other senior officials were present as distinguished guests at the inauguration ceremony.
