Husband and wife critically injured in stabbing incident in Udaipur

Issuing property disputes, one elder brother stabbed his younger brother and his sister-in-law and seriously injured them at Banduar area of Udaipur under Gomati district on Wednesday.

Sources said that Shibu Das has been accused of attempting to murder his younger brother and sister-in-law with a knife and both,  Debu Das and his wife Anita Das were taken to Gomati District Hospital In a critical condition, while accused Shibu Das, is on the run after the brutal incident.

Police sources said that on Tuesday night in the Banduar area of Udaipur subdivision, a domestic quarrel turned violent, leaving husband Debu Das and wife Anita Das seriously injured and bleeding. On Tuesday night, a dispute over family property led to an altercation between Debu and his elder brother, Shibu Das. During the fight, Shibu allegedly brought a knife from the shed and stabbed Debu multiple times. When Anita rushed to save her husband, she was also attacked.

After the brutal incident, local people informed police and firefighters and injured persons were shifted to district hospital. Police also rushed to the spot and launched an investigation to arrest accused Shibu Das.
