Love through Social media lands Bangla woman into Indian jail
A Bangladeshi woman, who had fallen love with an Indian man through social media app “Instagram” crossed the barbed wire fencing with help of human traffickers and entered into Indian territory of Madhupur area under Sepahijala district, but was detained by BSF jawans with her Indian paramour.
Police sources said that one Bangladeshi woman, identified as Gulsana Aktar of Bagura district of Bangladesh had developed love affairs with one Datta Yadav of Patna city of Bihar state and as per their social media chat, she entered into Indian territory without any valid documents through Madhupur border on Wednesday.
Simultaneously, her boyfriend, Datta Yadav has also arrived Agartala from Patna and he reached an Indian border village to receive his love.
After reunion of the love couple, they sheltered in an Indian residence at Madhupur village, but alert BSF learnt their presence and detained both of them on Wednesday midnight.
After preliminary interrogation, BSF handed over them to Madhupur police for further legal proceedings.
While, police at Madhupur police station said that they have arrested both Bangladeshi young woman and her Indian boyfriend.
Police sources said that investigation is underway to identify those who helped Bangladeshi woman to enter India and added that police have registered a specific case under sections of the Passports Act, the Foreigners Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and bot arrested persons were produced before a local court on Thursday for further legal proceedings. Police also said that all those involved in this case will be arrested and police will launch another operation to arrest human traffickers involved with infiltration of Bangladeshi into Tripura’s territory.
