Media team from Chhattisgarh call on CM Dr Manik Saha
A 14-member media team from Chhattisgarh, on a press tour led by the Press Information Bureau (PIB), on Saturday evening called on Chief Minister Prof. Dr Manik Saha at his official residence in Agartala. During the interaction with the visiting media persons, the Chief Minister said that his government has accorded utmost priorities towards advancement in sectors like education, health, tourism and Medium, Small, Micro Enterprises (MSME) sectors.
He said that due to the sincere initiative of the central government led by the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi peace has prevailed in Tripura and North East region as well, which has witnessed signing of 12 peace accords in the last few years under the aegis of the Centre. The law and order situation has improved a lot in the state, he said.
The Chief Minister also said that the State Government has also focused on the industrialization in MSME sector along with Tourism. Other important focused areas are Information Technology, Skill Development and Self Reliance through different central schemes to uplift living standards of the people and also to boost the economy of the state.
Chief Minister Dr Saha also mentioned that the state economy is gradually advancing by drawing industries’ investments and also garnering higher growth in natural rubber, bamboo and natural gas.
The 14-member media team from Chhattisgarh is on a six day visit to Tripura to explore socio-economic and infrastructural developments and cultural ethos of the state from 22nd October. The press tour is organised by the Press Information Bureau, Raipur in Chhattisgarh.
During the interaction, Secretary to Chief Minister Dr Pradip Chakraborty was also present. The Chhattisgarh media team was led by Ramesh Jaibhaye, Deputy Director, PIB Raipur.
