NLU Tripura Celebrates 10th International Yoga Day
The National Law University (NLU), Tripura celebrates 10th International Yoga Day followed by an interactive session with DIG of Police and IG, Prison on the topic “Synergy Between Law Enforcement Officers and Law Officers”
NLU Tripura celebrated the day in alignment with this year's theme, ‘Yoga for Self and Society.’ The event was led by Nilkanta Debnath, a renowned Yoga instructor from Tripura, who highlighted the various health benefits of yoga and its impact on overall well-being.
Following the yoga session, the Literary and Debating Society (LDS) of NLU, Tripura hosted an Interactive Session with Mr. A. Ramesh Reddy, IPS, Deputy Inspector General of Police (HQr), Tripura on the topic “Synergy Between Law Enforcement Officers and Law Officers.” Mr. Reddy in this thought-provoking session not only emphasized on the importance of bridging the communication gap between police, law officers, and the public to ensure fair and effective law enforcement but also answered several queries of students on the role and functioning of police.
In the beginning, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Yogesh Pratap Singh felicitated Mr. Reddy and stated the pledge of the University to give a holistic learning to its students. The event was attended by Registrar, Prof. Nachiketa Mittal along with faculty members, staff and research scholars. The Faculty Advisor, LDS, Ms. Merelin Darlong, concluded the session by delivering a heartfelt vote of thanks.
