ONGC Supre-30: 26 students move closer to IIT dreams with 86.7 pc success rate in JEE Mains

Students of ONGC Super-30, Agartala, an educational initiative by ONGC  in collaboration with CSRL, have once again demonstrated the power of opportunity and determination by delivering a strong performance in the JEE Mains-2025 examinations.

Out of the 30 students enrolled in the current batch, an impressive 26 students have successfully qualified for the examinations.

Addressing a press conference at Agartala press club on Thursday,  chief project manager of CSRL, Biswajit Dasgupta said that established in 2021, the ONGC Supre-30 Agartala centre offers 11 months of fully residential, free coaching to both boys and girls from underprivileged backgrounds. Including the current cohort, the programme has supported more than 100 students so far bringing them a step closer to their dream of joining India's premier engineering institutes such as IITs and NITs.

In addition to Tripura, ONGC operates similar Super-30 centres across various parts of India including locations in Sivasagar, Srinagar, Kangra, Jalgaon and Golaghat. The initiative is exclusively for students from Tripura w, who come from families with an annual income below 4 lakhs, ensuring that support is extended to those who need it most. Admission to the centre is conducted through a rigorous two stage selection process that includes a written examination and an academic interview.

Dasgupta said that the impact of the programme has been truly transformative, students who once viewed the dream of becoming engineers as distant and out of reach are now pursuing degrees at India’s top engineering institutions, empowered by timely guidance, consistent mentorship and a supportive residential environment.
