Opposition leader urges CM to re-installed Baidhyanath statue

Chaudhury in his letter to the Chief Minister said that in the midnight of  April 11th last, a statue of Lord Ram installed  at the tri-junction of Srirampur area of Chandipur RD Block of Kailashahar subdivision under Unakoti district at the broke base of Baidhyanath Majumder’s statue.

He said that in the year 2012, local people installed the lifesize statue of Majumder, but after the March, 2018 assembly election, a group of miscreants defaced the statue and totally destroyed it.

Chaudhury added that local people had once again initiated to install the statue again, but on April 11 midnight surprisingly, the statue of Lord Ram was installed in that place, which surprised the people of the state.

Chaudhury in his letter appealed to the Chief Minister that the administration should take steps to install the statue of Ram to another suitable place and install the previous statue of Baidhyanath Majumder at its old place.
