Pahalgam terror attack aimed to disrupt peace & progress in J&K: Tripura CM

Chief Minister Prof. Dr Manik Saha on Wednesday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah will give a befitting reply to the terrorist attack that claimed the lives of innocent tourists in Pahalgam of Jammu and Kashmir.
Dr Saha said that terrorists carried out a barbaric attack in Pahalgam to disrupt the peace and socio-economic development in Jammu and Kashmir.
Dr Saha, who is also the Home Minister of Tripura, reacted strongly to the incident in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, where innocent tourists lost their lives in a heinous terrorist attack.
The Chief Minister strongly condemned the incident and expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased tourists.
“The terrorists carried out such barbaric attacks in Pahalgam after witnessing how Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah have established an atmosphere of peace in Jammu and Kashmir, along with improved socio-economic conditions. With the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A, tourists are now flocking to Jammu and Kashmir in large numbers. The terrorists are unable to digest the fact that the overall situation has improved. We all know Kashmir as a paradise on earth. These terrorists cannot accept this transformation and have carried out the attack,” said Dr. Saha.
Dr Saha said that the terrorists believed such cowardly acts could derail the peace, socio-economic development, and happiness of the people.
“That is why the terrorists have carried out such heinous attacks. I strongly protest against such barbaric and cowardly acts. All those who were attacked were innocent tourists. I strongly condemn the way they were killed in cold blood. On my behalf and on behalf of the people of Tripura, I express my deepest condolences. Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah will deliver a befitting reply to this incident. They have already warned that no one involved will be spared. I have full faith that strict action will be taken against the terrorists within a few days,” he added.
