The police investigation over the Killing of a husband by his wife at Manikgarh village under Sabroom police station of South Tripura district on Saturday midnight turned into a new angle as police on Monday arrested paramour of the killer lady.

Police sources said that based on the complaint of the elder daughter of deceased Sanjib Roy (40), who was stabbed by his wife Jayanti Namo Roy after brief brawl on Saturday night, police on Monday arrested on youth identified as Sunirmal Basak alias Appi, who has illicit relationship with arrested house wife Jayanti.

Police sources added that on Monday based on the complaint of the elder daughter of the deceased man, they arrested Sunirmal Basak. Earlier, police had also detained another lady, Gouri Singh for interrogation.

Sources added that killer wife Jayanti Namo Roy with help of her boyfriend Sunirmal, had killed her husband by stabbing with a scissor on Saturday midnight after a boozing party at their house in Manikgarh village.

It may be recalled here that the wife stabbed her husband with a scissor and died on the spot on Saturday midnight at Manikgarh village under Sabroom police station of South Tripura district.

Police said that Sanjib Roy (40) and his wife Jayanti Namo Roy after a boozing party inside their home started fighting after a brief brawl, they attacked each other. But, the wife Jayanti Namo Roy attacked her husband   with a cloth cutting scissor and stabbed him. As a result, Sanjob Roy died on the spot and his wife escaped from the crime scene.

Police on Sunday morning have also managed to arrest the accused wife and put her behind the bars. But, on Monday based on the complaint of the deceased man, the daughter arrested alleged paramour of Jayanti.
