Rare step: DGP transferred two SPs without GA (P & T) order

In an unconventional step, the office of the Director General of Police (DGP) transferred two IPS officers instead of transfer order from the General Administration (Personnel and Training) department of Tripura government.
Surprisingly, Additional SP (Traffic) Ms. Sudhambika R, who was promoted and given the charges of SP (Traffic) during in a major transfer order issued by General Administration of the state government along 16 IPS and 16 TPS officers on March 10 last, but the office of the DGP, Tripura in a order issued on Saturday (March 15) said Ms. Sudhambika R, presently posted as Additional SP(Traffic) is transferred and posted as SP of Unakoti district.
While, the incumbent SP (Unakoti), Ms. Kanta Jangir has been transferred as posted as SP(Traffic). The DGP order also said Ms. Sudhambika R should move immediately to take over the charge of SP (Unakoti).
Sources said that DGP can't issue transfer order of TPS/IPS officers and it should be done by GA (P&T) department of the state government and for the first time in the history of Tripura Police such order is issued , that too no copy is marked to the Government GA (P &T) department and issued copies to other wings of police administration
Though, the actual reasons for such immediate step yet to known, but sources claimed that due to high handiness by Additional SP (Traffic) Ms. Sudhambika R during Traffic police’s enforcement drives against parking in different parts of Agartala city has raised many questions as a section of Traffic police personnel were busy with collecting fine money instead of taking smooth measures for easy traffic movements across the city in the most busiest times.
