Strong vigil across border to foil infiltration bid, BSF detained one Bangladeshi
One Bangladeshi infiltrator was detained by BSF jawans near Indo-Bangla barbed wire fencing at Madhupur area of Sepahijala district on Tuesday, when he tried to enter into Indian territory.
BSF sources said that based on specific information regarding the infiltration of Bangladesh national into India. An ambush was laid by BSF, which apprehended the infiltrator near the Border Fence. Detained infiltrator was identified as Md Mustafa (37) of Uttar Kandail village of Comilla district of Bangladesh.
Preliminary inquiry of the apprehended person is in progress.
It may be recalled here that in view of the present unrest and violence in Bangladesh, BSF has stepped up its drive against illegal Bangladeshi immigrants and all field formations are actively breaking down the nexus of touts in the bordering areas.
