The Tripura unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday announced a new team of 18 state office-bearers and appointed presidents for its seven frontal organizations as part of an organizational reshuffle aimed at strengthening the party's structure.

BJP state president Abhishek Debroy announced a new team of 18 state office-bearers and appointed presidents of the party's seven frontal organizations. The newly constituted state panel comprises six vice-presidents, three general secretaries and six secretaries and three other office-bearers.

The party retained incumbent general secretaries Baghaban Chandra Das and Bipin Debbarma, while inducting young leader Chandan Debnath as a new general secretary in place of Amit Rakshit.

The BJP also announced new presidents for its frontal organisations. Arindam Deb has been appointed president of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), while Mousumi Das will head the BJP Mahila Morcha. Abhijit Debbarma has been named president of the ST Morcha, Bapi Das of the SC Morcha, Sukanta Ghosh of the OBC Morcha, Pradip Baran Roy of the Kisan Morcha, and Billal Miah of the Minority Morcha.

Announcing the appointments through a social media post, Tripura BJP president Abhishek Debroy said the new organisational team had been approved by BJP national president Nitin Nabin following consultations with the party's central leadership.

Congratulating the newly appointed leaders, Debroy expressed confidence that their leadership, dedication and organisational abilities would further strengthen the BJP in Tripura and contribute to achieving the party's vision of a "Viksit Tripura."

Meanwhile, Tripura BJP media in-charge Sunit Sarkar said the state president, in consultation with the party's central leadership, would induct more leaders before announcing the full-fledged state committee.
