Tripura has begun preparations for the 32nd National Children’s Science Congress (NCSC)-2026, with district- and state-level programmes scheduled to identify and nurture young scientific talent from across the state.

As part of the preparations, the District-level Children’s Science Congress will be organised in all eight districts from October 1 to 9, while the State-level Children’s Science Congress will be held in Agartala from October 13 to 15, 2026.

To review the preparations, the Tripura Science Forum convened an important meeting to discuss the arrangements for both the district- and state-level events. The meeting focused on promoting scientific temper among children, encouraging them to undertake and present science-based research projects, and preparing talented students to represent Tripura at the national level.

State Secretary of the Tripura Science Forum, Panna Chakraborty, said students from schools across the state will participate in the district-level programmes by presenting science-based research projects. Young scientists selected at the district level will advance to the State-level Children’s Science Congress-2026.

The best-performing participants at the state-level event will earn the opportunity to represent Tripura at the 32nd National Children’s Science Congress-2026.

The National Children’s Science Congress aims to foster scientific temper, nurture curiosity and a spirit of inquiry among children, and encourage them to undertake research-oriented projects addressing local issues through scientific approaches and innovative solutions.
