Tripura on the brink of developmental revolution: CM
Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr Manik Saha on Tuesday said that the present state government will bring a revolution of development in Tripura in the coming days.
Dr Saha said this after inaugurating the Dayaram Para PHC at Dayaram Para, Golaghati, the Takarjala CHC at Takarjala, and the Synthetic Turf Football Ground at Sudhannya Debbarma H.S School, Jampuijala.
A total of Rs 2 crore 10 lakh has been spent on the construction of the new building of the Dayaram Para Primary Health Centre, while Rs 6 crore 70 lakh has been spent on the construction of the new building of the Takarjala Social Health Centre, and Rs 5 crore has been spent on the Synthetic Turf Football Ground.
Addressing the event, Dr Saha said, “The BJP-led Tripura government is following the direction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas Sabka Prayaas. Whether in sports, health, or agriculture, we are working to make Tripura a model state. During the election in Odisha, I remember PM Modi referring to Tripura as an example of development. After hearing such inspirational words, we must work even harder.”
He said that since 2018, the present state government has been working to develop Tripura by following the Gujarat model.
“We now have six national highways, and four more have been agreed upon in principle by PM Modi. Four ropeways are under construction. Connectivity in Tripura has strengthened. People previously faced numerous issues due to connectivity problems. Those visiting Tripura after a long time express happiness upon witnessing the development in the state,” said the Chief Minister.
He further said that the BJP-IPFT and Tipra Motha government in Tripura have decided that their main aim is development.
“Just as blood has no religion, development has no religion. We have taken a loan from the World Bank for the development of TTAADC, including hospitals, roads, etc. We have allocated a 15% additional budget for Aspirational Blocks in Tripura. We are committed to opening a medical college in TTAADC and are actively considering it,” he said.
He also mentioned that the state government wants to develop tourist spots and has decided to make Sourav Ganguly the brand ambassador.
“Foreign tourists are also coming, and the number of tourists has increased significantly. We have also emphasized education, agriculture, sports, and other sectors. I am confident that in the coming days, this present government will bring a revolution of development in Tripura,” he added.
During the program Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Tinku Roy, MLA Manab Debbarma, MLA Biswajit Koloi, BAC Chairman Birendra Kishore Debbarma, Zila Sabhadhipati Supriya Das Datta and others were present.
