Tripura student interacts with PM Modi in Pariksha Pe Charcha, makes us proud: CM
Chief Minister Prof. Dr Manik Saha on Monday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emphasized the importance of eliminating the fear and pressure of exams while boosting self-confidence.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi has advised students to move forward in life without any kind of pressure. Essentially, the Prime Minister stressed the need to overcome exam fear and pressure while focusing on self-confidence,” said Dr Saha while participating in the eighth episode of PM Modi's highly popular program, 'Pariksha Pe Charcha.'
The Chief Minister attended this program, organized by the School Education Department, at Maharani Tulsibati Girls' School in Agartala on Monday.
Dr Saha, who also holds the Education Minister portfolio, said, “I enjoyed this program today while sitting with the students. It was a nostalgic feeling, as I revisited my student life. The way PM Modi speaks, the way he explains things is so simple and straightforward. He also conveyed important messages to parents and teachers. I was a teacher myself, and today’s session covered about 21 chapters.”
Dr Saha informed that Pritam Das, a student from Belonia, South Tripura district, participated in 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' with PM Modi.
“The Prime Minister spoke to the state's student after learning that he was from Tripura. PM Modi asked him how he got the opportunity to attend this program and whether he had to pay any money for it. It was heartening to see this interaction. We feel proud of him. The boy spoke beautifully. The key takeaway was about progressing in life without undue pressure. Should exams be considered everything? The Prime Minister emphasized learning not just from books but also from life. He explained that even if one doesn’t score well in exams, it doesn’t mean their life is ruined. There are many instances where people who performed exceptionally in exams did not necessarily succeed in life, while those who navigated life’s challenges effectively have achieved great success," the Chief Minister said.
The Chief Minister was accompanied by Special Secretary of the Education Department, Raval Hemendra Kumar, Director of Education, N. C. Sharma, along with teachers and students of the school.
Notably, this year, 36 students were selected from various state and union territory schools, Kendriya Vidyalayas, Sainik Schools, Eklavya Model Residential Schools, and CBSE-run institutions for 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' programme. Pritam Das of Tripura was one among the selected students.
