Two wanted drug smugglers arrested by Agartala city police

Two wanted drug smugglers were arrested by East Agartala police station, who continued their procurement and distribution of drugs like Heroin and Brown Sugar in many parts of Agartala city.
Giving details, officer-in-charge (OC) of East Agartala police station, Rana Chatterjee said that two wanted drug smugglers in two separate specific under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act were in run for the last few months.
Based on the secret information, police on Friday evening managed to arrest both of them identified as Raja Saha and Arjun Debnath from College Tilla area under East Agartala police station.
He said that both arrested smugglers were involved with procurement and distribution of drugs in many parts of the city and finally, police managed to arrest them. OC said that on Saturday both Raja Saha and Arjun Debnath, residents of Pratapgarh and Melaghar were produced before a local court with police remand appeals for interrogation.
He hoped that during interrogation, police would be able to get details of their drug-trading network and sources of their procurement.
