Wanted human trafficker involved with many cases of infiltration arrested

Alarmed by frequent detention of Bangladeshi and Rohingyas in different parts of Tripura, who were often facilitate by both Indian and Bangladeshi traffickers(touts), the Government Railway Police (GRP) after their continuous raids has managed to arrest a wanted human trafficker on Sunday, who was responsible for trafficking of many Bangladeshi and Rohingyas into territory of Tripura.
It may be recalled here that despite strong surveillance in the entire stretch of India-Bangladesh along with Tripura after unrest in Bangladesh to stop any attempted infiltration by Bangladeshi anti-social elements and Rohingyas into Tripura unabated, but vigilant security forces in many cases managed to arrest them after they entered Indian territory.
The bordering Tripura, which is a top hotspot travelling destination for human trafficking, especially for Rohingyas and Bangladesh nationals, who were illegally entered into Indian territory and moves towards other parts of the country through different means of surface communication with help of Indian and Bangladeshi touts and traffickers, but many time, the alert security forces have also managed to detain them.
While, officer-in-charge (OC) of GRP of Agartala Railway station, Tapash Das said that after Bangladeshi and Rohingyas entered into Indian territory through different borders of the state with help of traffickers and one of them, a wanted Indian tout was in the run and police despite many attempt, were unable to arrest him.
In the wee hours of Sunday, a joint team of GRP, BSF and police personnel from Ramnagar outpost laid a trap with plain clothes at the bordering Lankamura area near Agartala, said Das and added that sensing the presence of tout(trafficker), identified as Sabiran Sarkar alias Kalu, the joint team raided at his house and managed to arrest him.
OC, GRP said that arrested Indian tout was produced before a court in Agartala with police remand appeals for interrogation. He hoped that with interrogation statements of arrested and most wanted tout, police will able to arrest other touts involved with a big racket of infiltration of Bangladeshi and Rohingyas.
