Acid attack in Germany's Bochum city leaves several injured
An acid attack at a cafe in West Germany's Bochum city has left several people injured.

“A man entered the cafe at around 3.25 p.m. and poured an acidic liquid over a guest sitting at a table in the outdoor area” leaving the victim “seriously injured,” local police said in press release as quoted by CNN.
During the operation, four police officers and two firefighters who came into contact with the liquid also sustained injuries, police told the American news channel.
The suspect initially fled the scene and was later arrested.
The motive behind the attack is still not known.
An investigation is currently underway.
